S&S camshafts and other related valve train parts go through extensive dyno testing and usage on the track and street. Since many S&S cams are high lift types, they are available with a cam only or in a kit with a set of the appropriate S&S high-performance valve springs.

- 508 CAM
- Bolt-in cam intended for stock engines with less than 10:1 compression ratio
- Quiet valvetrain with excellent low/mid range torque for touring and 2-up riding
- 510 CAM
- For engines up to 93 in. with no greater than 10:1 compression
- “Bolts-in” and works with stock or ported heads - about a 10 horsepower gain over stock
- Horsepower gains similar to S&S 502 cam but better low- and mid-range torque
- Improved ramp design for quieter operation
- Valve spring spacing not required
- Other normal clearance checks recommended
- 561 CAM
- Works in all displacement Big Twin V2 with a variety of compression ratios
- Ideally suited for stock to 88 in. engines with up to 11:1 compression, 96 in. engines with 10:1 and 98 in. engines and larger with no greater than 9.5 to 1 compression
- Moderate duration makes for great mid-range performance
- Requires high-lift springs and normal clearance checks
- 585 CAM
- A versatile cam for engines with up to 10.5:1 compression ratio
- For 80 to 96 in. engines with 10:1-10.5:1 compression and larger engines with 9.5:1-10:1 compression ratios
- Provides a streetable combination of low end torque and top end horsepower
- This cam is used in the S&S 111 in. Super Sidewinder Plus engines
- Requires high-lift springs and normal clearance checks
- 600 CAM
- Originally designed for the legendary S&S 40th Anniversary Engine
- The S&S 600 cam has proven to be an exceptional cam in any large displacement engine with 9.5:1 to 10.5:1 compression and is the cam supplied in the 4-1/8 in. bore 117 in. Super Sidewinder Plus engine
- Good power across the RPM range
- Requires high-lift springs and normal clearance checks
- 640 CAM
- For large displacement motors with compression ratios of 10.5-11.5:1 or smaller motors with 11:1-12:1 compression ratio
- Does not require as much compression as the 631 and provides a more linear power delivery
- 3,000-6,000 rpm
